Grégoire Torossian started playing the violin at the age of 4. In 2018, he joined the Conservatoire National de Paris (CNSMDP) and studied with Ami FLAMMER, Svetlin ROUSSEV and Pierre Colombet. He also learnt from Patrice FONTANAROSA at the Schola Cantorum and Karen AROUTIOUNIAN in Brussels before continuing today an Artist Diploma Diploma again at the CNSMDP.
Grégoire Torossian enriched his knowledge throughout Europe with musicians such as Sergey Khachatryan, Julia Fischer, Kirill Troussov, Constantin Bogdanas and Pierre Amoyal as well as Nemanja Radulovic in the Academy Philippe Jaroussky (promotion Brahms).
He quickly distinguished himself in competitions in France, and abroad with the Leonid KOGAN 2018 competition in Brussels. Internationally, he won the 3rd Prize of the prestigious Georges Enescu competition in 2022 in Bucharest and in 2024, the Mimas competition in Naploli. His concert activity leads him to perform regularly as soloist, in recital with different pianists (Jérôme Fréjaville, Rodolphe Menguy…) and in chamber music, especially in string quartet (Seiji Ozawa Academy, French Spring Festival in Ukraine) and since 2024 with the Vermeer String Trio, of which he is a founding member alongside Marie Ducroux (alto) and Eliott Leridon (cello).
Grégoire Torossian is invited to many festivals such as the Colmar international festival, Les Granges de Meslay (Tours), the Pablo Casals festival (Prades), Les Musicales de Montsoreau, Les Etoiles du Classique Festival (Saint-Germain-en-Laye)
He has performed in prestigious venues such as the Kiev Philharmonic, the Victoria Hall in Geneva, the Paris Philharmonic, the Bucharest Athenaeum, the Seine Musicale and collaborates as soloist with orchestras such as the Republican Guard Orchestra, the Baden-Baden Philharmonic, the George Enescu Festival Orchestra and the Paris Conservatory Laureates Orchestra.
Grégoire Torossian plays on the « Faisan doré » by Jean-Baptiste Vuillaume, dating from 1862, generously provided by a private collector. He is supported by the Safran Foundation for 2024.
