Pianist Feng Kang is an accomplished performer who has delighted audiences across North America, China, and Taiwan. He has been featured as a soloist with renowned orchestras, including the Taipei Symphony Orchestra, Kaohsiung Youth Symphony Orchestra, and National Kaohsiung Normal University Orchestra. Feng has received numerous accolades in international competitions, such as the Elevato Piano Competition in Poland, the Cambridge Music Competition in the UK, and the National Taiwan Music Competition.
Feng's musical journey began at the age of ten, and he received comprehensive training in various styles, including German, Russian, and American. His mentors include esteemed teachers Margarita Shevchenko, Rolf-Peter Wille, Fung-Yin Huang, and Ya-Ting Wu. He holds degrees from Taipei National University of the Arts (M.M.) and National Kaohsiung Normal University (B.F.A.). In 2019, Feng was also honored to be selected for the prestigious "Music Talent Pool" of the Taipei Symphony Orchestra.
In addition to his passion for solo performance, Feng is dedicated to exploring organ, chamber music, piano collaboration, teaching, and composition. Currently pursuing his doctoral degree in piano performance under the guidance of Dr. Derek Polischuk, Director of Piano Pedagogy at Michigan State University.
