Byeol Kim began studying the violin aged 9 under the guidance of Gangchun Chung. At the age of 15 she participated at the Menuhin Junior Competition.
She is currently attending the New England Conservatory, pursuing her Bachelor of Music. She was the Second Prize winner of the New England Conservatory Concerto Competition 2022 and at the France Music Competition 2021.
She performed as soloists with theorchestras such as the Cheongju Philharmonic Orchestra, the Chungbuk Philharmonic Orchestra and the South Korea Yongin Philharmonic Orchestra. She attended solo recitals at Studzinski Hall (Brunswick), SIA Art Hall (New York) and Carnegie Hall (New York).
